VAT Calculator (Saudi Arabia 15%)
Add 15% VAT to a price, or find the VAT included in a total — in seconds.
How to add 15% VAT
Multiply the price before VAT by 0.15 to get the VAT, or by 1.15 to get the VAT-inclusive price. Example: SAR 1,000 → VAT SAR 150 → total SAR 1,150.
How to calculate VAT from a total amount
Divide the VAT-inclusive total by 1.15 to get the price before VAT, then subtract it from the total. Example: SAR 1,150 ÷ 1.15 = SAR 1,000, so VAT is SAR 150.
A common mistake is taking 15% of the total (SAR 1,150 × 15% = SAR 172.50). That overstates the VAT; the correct figure is SAR 150.
